ABOUT RAIGE ADVISORS

RAIGE Advisors is a professional services firm focused on helping law firms and legal departments implement AI-enabled legal technology within real legal workflows. The firm’s work centers on translating technical capability into working practice while preserving professional accountability, confidentiality, and client trust.

AI adoption in legal environments is not primarily a technology challenge. It requires determining how tools are used, what reliance is appropriate, and how responsibility is retained. RAIGE Advisors supports this transition by aligning systems, governance structures, and day-to-day operating expectations so AI becomes part of normal legal work rather than isolated experimentation.

RAIGE Advisors works across the lifecycle of AI adoption, including readiness assessment, product and vendor assessment, operating approach design, governance integration, and implementation planning. The objective is to enable sustainable use of AI within professional obligations.

The name “RAIGE” originates from Responsible AI, AI Governance, and AI Ethics — the firm’s initial focus — and now reflects a broader practice supporting trusted AI adoption in legal practice.

Cheryl S. Johnson

Founder and Principal

Cheryl S. Johnson works at the intersection of legal practice, technology implementation, and governance. She advises law firms and legal departments on introducing AI-enabled legal technology into environments where professional judgment, confidentiality, and client trust are central.

Her work focuses on the operational transition from experimentation to sustained use — aligning governance structures, workflow integration, and risk tolerance so AI tools support legal decision-making within established professional obligations.

Cheryl’s background combines legal practice, technology engineering, and governance program development. Prior to focusing on AI adoption, she held roles in legal operations, data management, and technology implementation, including database engineering and program management. She is a former practicing attorney, which informs her approach to accountability and client trust in AI-enabled work.

She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (Data & Artificial Intelligence focus) from Johns Hopkins University, an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, and a J.D. in Intellectual Property Law. She also holds AIGP and CIPP/US certifications.

Cheryl regularly speaks and writes on practical AI adoption in legal environments, with emphasis on how organizations can implement AI in ways that preserve professional judgment and maintain client confidence.
